Karen was a legend in her industry, having founded and
operated Karen’s for People + Pets in New York City for over thirty years.
In 2004, the Robb Report bestowed their “Best of the Best” award
on her New York City Shop. The shop also was profiled in the New
York Times, New York Magazine and many other magazines and newspapers.
In 2005, Karen moved to Boca Raton, Florida from New York City with her five mini long hair dachshunds for a less hectic life. She soon discovered that her passion for her dogs and her extensive retail and grooming experience could benefit the pet owners who were not being properly served by the generic stores and groomers.
Her merchandise comes from all over the world -- Italy, France, England, The Netherlands, the US and Asia.
She has a very large inventory and some items can be special ordered for the individual who needs something we don't have on hand.
